Sick as a Dog!

My beautiful Chocolate

Why do we blame our sick days on man’s best friend?

I looked it up and it is from the 17 century, because dogs throw up it said . . . Hummmmm

My beautiful Chestnut and the wee Dr. Ling Batman

If that is the case I’m thinking sick as a cat! With hair balls, attitude and I am going to eat all the grass I can then come inside and throw up all over your clean floor, I am thinking Man’s best friend is getting shafted.

I have been sick as a cat these past few days. This bug knocked me on my ass! I  could not lift my head up off the pillow and if I moved, well I barked like a seal.

This bug is going around Oliver, take care of yourselves out there.

I’m thinking I might want to buy stock in Buckley’s, taste like turpentine but stops the coughing.

A new book!

Jim Bowering, local writer has a new Si Fi book.

“The Plainsrunner is a bit of a departure for me, after the Green Comet trilogy.  There I was working with people quite similar to us, other than the fact that they live in comets in deep space.  Here, with Sage, I’m dealing with a young woman with four hooves and two hands, living on a planet. One day she’s a girl running across the prairie, creating adventures with the giddy energy of youth, and the next she’s banished from her village and trying to survive a long, solitary trek to a distant city.

Leza and I invite you to join in Sage’s journey with us as we present the story almost as soon as it comes out of my pen.

Jim”

Spring Budinskys

First we have a little Cherry Budinsky! sweet juicey, I love them as is and I like to see how far I can spit the seed . . . what . . .  don’t you do that?

Also now is the time to take in sticks of cherry budinskey’s so you can force start them. Beautiful they look like a live Japanese painting

Next we have peaches, these are the kind you brush off the fuzz and slurp over the kitchen sink.

And this is a pear budinsky. Reminds me of a Praying Mantis on Steampunk. These are lovely to poach in Honey and or wine. Just a few months till summer and this what to look forward to in the summer.

Have a great week, it will end a bit green . . .
