WOW stands for Women of Oliver for Women and they are hosting their 25th annual Trade Show – that will make you feel like saying WOW! The variety of vendors appeal to all ages, men, women and children.
Home care products, health care, skin care, baking, chocolates, salad dressings, insurance, investors, art, jewelry, quilting, wood working, and more. All products are for sale.
The women in the WOW group are vibrant, dedicated, community minded and supportive of each other. Their mandate is “To enrich the lives of women and children in our community and beyond.”
They are able to achieve this mandate through four major yearly fundraisers, the Mainly for Women Trade Show, a Christmas Auction, a Bridge Social and the Swinging Skirts Charity Golf Tournament.
Some of the monies raised go to a SOSS bursary, and an Education Award to a woman/mother going back to school to learn a skill in order help support her family. WOW also donates money to the Food Bank, adult women in need, the Sun Fun program, the Air Cadets, Highway to Healing, Desert Sun Counseling, and other worthwhile causes.
The Trade Show is held at the Oliver Community Center on Saturday, February 17th, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Bring your family, your friends and enjoy the Show. Parties and Pies will be serving delectable goodies and great lunches.
Admission is free, however a donation will give you a chance to win a door prize. At the WOW information table, you will get answers to all questions about WOW and membership.
