No generation gap here! Legion 97 supports Skateboard Park!

Thank you to Oliver Legion 97 for their donation to the Small Wheels Park campaign.

Front Carol Sheridan, Chris Yerburgh, Justice Baptiste, Peter McKenna and Teacher Jesse McKinnon. Waiting on the half pike, James Tyusiak, Shelby Smith and Troy Van Wort.

Justice does a perfect Ollie over of the cheque held by Shelby and James.

Carol, manager of Oliver Parks and Rec, took some time to talk and brain storm with the Skaters. Stay tuned some great ideas came from this chat!

Justice, 16 says this gives us more opportunities to get better. A better park will attract sponsors and pros. It is in a great location for tourist going by, it can be seen from the road. All skaters agreed it was great excercise and they spend more time skating than in front of the computer gaming.

Carol pointed out that Skateboarding will be an Olympic sport in Tokyo in 2020. Will these young men be the first to bring home a medal to Oliver?

Justice has been on his board for 9 years “I am connected to the board, it is literally part of my nerves!”
