It is that time of the year when Oliver lets the Artist out!
Leann, Janice and President of the Sagebrushes Sally Franks and my partner in crime, invite new members to this creative group.
The Sagebrushers have been meeting together for over 50 years. You can see a sample of their work on Main street at their gallery. Entrance between Sue’s Oliver Shoe and Fashion and the bakery.
It is a supportive group and as you can see Bev is styling Lynn’s live canvas with a little henna. Looking good Ladies!!
Katherine an incredible talent in collage carefully cuts out shapes and shades for her next masterpiece . . and I mean masterpiece!
The sagebrushes meet every Tuesday at 9:00 a little later for some of us that don’t do first thing in the morning.
They self teach and have other instructors as well. Next week is Peter Scott for drawing class. Sharpen those pencil and get your self down to the Quail’s Nest across from the airport.
It is fun, good friendships are made and you just might find out you can draw a straight line.
Thank you Leza. What a great start for the season. It felt so good to see all our fellow artists and a special report from Lynne on her bout with cancer and chemo. We are all so proud of her and love the art work on her (live canvas). As you say we are an extremely supportive group.
