The Tots and Tykes Playground is open for fun!

A fun place for the little ones!

The ribbon is cut!

The Wonderful supporters like Buy Low and Kiwanis are thanked!

There were hot dogs from Buy-Low  . . .

And Cakes from Big Al’s

There were Superman Tots!

And lots of Tykes and Balloons!

One of the biggest safety addition is this flooring of recycled tires by Tire Stewardship BC. You must go and walk on this floor it is fabulously squishy!

The power team behind the scenes that got this project going and brought it to the finish line today! Well done Amanda, Becky, Randee and Carol.

Randee and Amanda, two soccer Moms, realized that the little ones would have no place to play during the older kids soccer games once the Rec Centre Weight Room was expanded. They asked if there was a plan to replace the existing playground. They found out there was not.

These ladies took matters into there own hands, raised $120.000 and today the Tots and Tykes have a new playground that is all inclusive for all children of all abilities.

For their hard work Amanda and Randee won the “Community Builder Spirit of Oliver Award”! What a great category!

The ladies want to thank the community for their generosity!

And that is what happens when the Moms of Oliver want a better future!
