The entrance was full as Oliver’s Coast Hotel had its official ribbon cutting.Lots of scissors and labour went into cutting this big ribbon.Ron Mundi, Prez of Mundi Hotels smiled as he told us about the 93% occupancy!Ron Mundi greets Chief Louie, the hotel is within the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Sylix Nation. The Hotel’s neighbour, Dianne Gibson from Maker Place, between Ron Mundi and Jazz, with Fire Chief Bob Graham and Mrs. Jazz.Councillor Larry took the opportunity to have a chat with Jim Wyse from the Burrowing Owl. So we have a hotel, big deal say the nay sayers what does it do for us!

Dear Oliver,

Enjoy a good story of a miracle that happened right here in Oliver. . . to me!

I met my cousin Boxer who was separated from his sister 68 years ago . . .I always wondered about him.

IMG_9881Christina, his daughter, on the right made it happen, behind her Mom Claire, Boxers wife. On the left, Boxer, who has always been a legend in the back of my mind and here he is right in front of me! I like this photo the best! It was a real feel good moment!

IMG_9885We walked over to the mural on Main and we all posed in front of the it, just little bragging going on!

IMG_9888We had fun looking at photos and charts of our ancestors. And I do feel there was a bond and it felt great. I have to thank Christina for her 36? years of looking for Stephane!

What a pleasure to know that Boxer you are real and such a lovely man with a wonderful family!IMG_9891I thank my Stars!

Good Morning Oliver

Today is the day I get to meet my long lost cousin Boxer!

68 years ago he got separated from his sister, Wild Woman Stephane Bourne, let them eat cake “Marie Antoinette”.

His Daughter Christina, found out when she was 12 her Dad had a sister. Christina vowed to find Stephy and January of 2018 the infamous connections were made.

Steph has met them and now it is my turn.

I will be on my best behaviour, leave my slang at home and try not to dress too much like an artist!

Stay tuned photos to come.

68 years Boxer was lost!!! 68years, I’m only . . 64. This is so exciting!
